What's included in my fees?
Depending upon your needs, I work on a project, hourly, or retainer basis.
Retainer Option
If you have extensive marketing communications and public relations needs, you may prefer to work with me on a retainer basis. This is a cost-effective option because I discount my hourly rate in exchange for the guarantee of work.
Project Fee Option
The advantage of the project fee option is knowing how much the project will cost before it gets underway.
The project fee includes initial consultation, concept, research, interviews, writing and/or design, project coordination, and up to two rounds of revisions.
If a project takes longer than expected, you will not be charged more than the estimate. If project specifications change, you will receive a revised estimate.
Hourly Rate Option
Some clients feel most comfortable being billed for the actual time spent on a project, knowing that I work fast and efficiently.
If you want to brainstorm ideas or get feedback on your existing marketing strategy or marketing materials, you can contract for consulting services at an hourly rate.
Out of pocket expenses
Out of pocket expenses, such as CD-ROMs and shipping, are billed separately. I will recommend and coordinate printing and other vendor services for your company, as needed. In most cases, these vendors will bill you directly.
What about copy revisions?
A project is a collaboration with your company. After you read the first draft, you may have minor corrections to make or additional information to add. One round of revisions is included in your fee. To expedite your projects, please give me your revisions within two weeks of receiving your first draft.
